A New Processing Option Available: Rent a BudRubber
To the hemp farmers looking for processing solutions, from the team at HPS.
The crew at Hemp Processing Solutions (HPS) couldn’t be more excited to announce that the BudRubber is now available to rent. Released in July 2019, the BudRubber has quickly proven itself as the most capable biomass separation machine available for hemp growers. Until now, purchasing a machine outright has been the only way growers have been able to get their hands on a BudRubber.
The industry as a whole is anxiously awaiting the materialization of more harvesting and processing solutions for hemp. There are a lot of growers who’ve overcome the obstacle of getting plants in the ground and are now looking to solve that next set of problems around what to do with the biomass at harvest time.
We’ve been overwhelmed with the response to the BudRubber in the last two months. In fact, our phones haven’t really stopped ringing and our production floor is running full rabbit mode to fulfill orders. However, one of the most common questions we’re fielding is whether there are options available to rent or lease a BudRubber. We’ve run into countless growers who have plants in the ground without a real solution to how they plant to harvest and process their material. Another common theme is that growers are strapped for cash or are unable to locate financing options due to the current banking landscape, and purchasing a machine is out of the question for 2019, or at least until after harvest when growers begin to realize revenue from their plants.
Because of that, our team is beyond excited to announce that there are now a limited number of BudRubber machines available to rent. A small number of machines will be available for daily rental as of Mid-September. The base rental rate will start at $20,000 per day. Included with the rental will be a trained member of the HPS staff onsite full time to support the farmers and manage the equipment during processing. At 5,000 lbs per hour, farmers can expect to process through around 25 tons of biomass in an average 10-hour day. Feedback from some existing customers suggests that, with proper tuning, they’re achieving processing capability of over 10,000 lbs of biomass per hour.
Currently, there is a machine that will initially be stationed in Colorado and another in Oregon. Depending on demand, additional machines will be made available in other areas.
We want to give local farmers and smaller coops a real solution.
